A Healthy Awakening

There is nothing more invigorating than starting the day with a bit of activity to awaken the body. Ibiza is the ideal place for this, as the incredible natural environment that surrounds it is perfect to enjoy the scenery while doing some exercise.

How about jogging by the sea? Port des Torrent is a perfect beach to start an attractive running route. If you skirt the coast westwards, you’ll watch the beautiful cliffs of the area overlooking Sant Antoni, see closely the typical fishermen huts and discover the curious sandstone quarry located at the end of the bay of Port des Torrent. Your resistance is the limit because these beautiful landscapes can lead you to a thousand and one Mediterranean corners.

If on the contrary you prefer waking up with something more relaxing, Port des Torrent is an ideal place to practice yoga on the sand of the beach. So with the background sea and the gentle breaking of the waves, “the sun salutation” will be the perfect position to start off the day!

A Day At The Beach

Being on an island, we obviously cannot forget to the visit its marvellous coves – undoubtedly the best way to beat the heat. For this endeavor, we recommend that you head to the southeast corner of Ibiza, namely to the municipality of Sant Josep, where we find spectacular beaches such as Es Bol Nou and Cala Jondal.

The first one is unique because it is formed by the curvature of an immense sandy bay lying at the base of surrounding red cliffs. The result is an exceptional land and seascape in which to enjoy a refreshing swim. If you would also like to discover the historical aspect of the island, you can venture through pine trees behind the cove where the ancient Phoenician settlement, Sa Caleta, was once located. This archaeological site sits at the edge of a charming natural harbor where local fishermen still ply their trade. If you happen to get hungry, why not treat yourself to fresh fish of the day at the restaurant Sa Caleta? Its authentic maritime flair creates the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy the best of Ibicenco cuisine.

The same is true of Cala Jondal, where several restaurants make it their business to offer the best in local cuisine, specializing in fish and other delicacies. Here you can let yourself go at some of the most happening scenes on the island – bars and beach clubs where beach days become parties-by-the-sea. Although, venues such as Tropicana Beach Club, allow you to enjoy a more laidback version of the party scene, with good cocktails and even better food.

The Best Way To Farewell The Day

To make this day really special we want to show you one of the most magical places on the island to watch the famous Ibizan sunset. This is the viewpoint of Cala d’Hort, a huge esplanade next to the Torre des Savinar from where you can enjoy a privileged view of Es Vedrà. The height of the cliff where this unique corner is located allows us to observe the enigmatic island from a unique angle while the warm colors of the sunset fade away and turn Es Vedrà into a dim silhouette.

Lively Nightlife

Now we’re headed to one of the most fashionable places on the island: Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, where fun and entertainment are guaranteed. For this, go up to its great rooftop with lovely views over Platja d’en Bossa and enjoy its wonderful cocktails with all the chic atmosphere of the island. The music will be a true revival of the 80s every Sunday with the party Children of the 80’s, its most successful party where residents and visitors mingle to dance to the rhythm of the sounds of this decade.
