In this department, we have a marvelous range of possibilities to choose from. Today we will focus on restaurants within comfortable driving distance from the hotel Ses Pitreras, specifically restaurants where diners can discover and enjoy Ibicenco sea cuisine. To make things even better, all of the restaurants we propose are located on coves or beaches. Here we go with our top five recommendations for today.

[:]

We’ll start with Cala Jondal beach and the restaurant Yemanjà. Here, as we drink in the beauty of this marvelous cove and mingle in an ambience of beautiful people, we can also enjoy the most exquisite food. The paellas and assorted rice dishes are among the best on the island, no doubt about it. With tables right on the sand and sweeping views across the whole of the beach, this restaurant is a must.

Our second recommendation is located along the San Antonio Bay: Can Pujol. Set in a little nook in the coastline, this restaurant offers an incredible array of island dishes, all prepared in the most traditional Ibicenco style. Their chefs are masters of the culinary treasures proffered by local waters: fresh fish, seafood, rice dishes. All delicious. Can Pujol has been a constant on Ibiza’s culinary compass for more than 30 years. Also you can admire a wonderful sunset.

Our third suggestion is another of the musts, the restaurant El Carmen at Cala d’Hort beach. Two of its outstanding virtues are its paellas and its views. Year after year, El Carmen continues to serve one of the best Ibicenco paellas to be had on the island, and, year after year, while we dine there, we continue to gaze out at what is undoubtedly one of the most impressive seascapes on Ibiza, the unchanging Es Vedrà! Utterly captivating!

Now for the fourth restaurant, Maria Luisa at Cala Vadella beach. The Ibicenco Pep Mari Tur, master of marine cuisine and rice dishes, is the chef here. The fact that Pep’s father was one of the foremost fishermen in the area was a key factor in the development of his culinary talents. The restaurant’s setting is relaxed and informal, a sure bet for good food.

Our final recommendation for today – another marvelous one, of course – is the restaurant Es Torrent, located on the cove of the same name, in the Porroig area. This is an undeniable top-ranker in any conversation about the island’s fish and seafood. For those who want to enjoy those characteristic Ibicenco delicacies such as grouper, dentex, “rotja”, John Dory…fantastic! An unique atmosphere to relax in one of the those sunbeds in front of the sea.

Among the many appealing pursuits available to us when we visit the island of Ibiza, one of the most important is gastronomy.
